We have launched AutoScan in Finland. Finnish customers can now activate AutoScan and benefit from fast, fully automated PDF invoice scanning — either as their main scanning service or alongside Scan Network.
What is AutoScan?
AutoScan is Maventa’s machine learning-based scanning service for receiving PDF invoices. Suppliers send PDF invoices to a dedicated AutoScan email address, and the data is extracted and delivered electronically in minutes rather than hours or days. Built-in automated quality checks (Smartscan VERIFIED) cross-validate key fields such as totals and VAT amounts, so manual verification steps are not needed.
AutoScan has been available in our other main markets like Norway, Sweden, and Denmark — and is now ready for Finland too.
AutoScan on its own or alongside Scan Network
- As a standalone scanning service — activate AutoScan and share the AutoScan email address with the suppliers who send PDF invoices.
- Alongside Scan Network — both services can run at the same time. Each has its own dedicated scan email address that can be shared with different suppliers. This is useful when, for example, some suppliers should keep using a familiar scan address while others move to AutoScan.
Running both services in parallel makes it easy to try AutoScan with a subset of suppliers before fully switching over.
How to activate AutoScan
Make sure invoice receiving is enabled, then activate AutoScan through the Maventa user interface or the REST API.
REST API: PUT /v1/services/autoscan
A return email address must be provided when activating AutoScan, so that any non-invoice materials sent to the scan address are forwarded to a mailbox you control. See the return email handling section for details.
